The menu consists of Tapas, Shared Mains and Modern Cuisine (A la carte).

Our menu caters for couples, large groups, parties or business functions as well as people looking for a relaxing venue to sit down.

A large bar, restaurant and lounge area downstairs. Also with a cocktail bar and lounge area on the mezzanie, there's plenty of room to celebrate any occasion.

The restaurant/cocktail lounge has two levels and can cater for as many as 250 people. The ground level mainly caters for diners and includes a large bar and lounge area with the second level being a cocktail lounge/bar. Plans are underway to open an exclusive VIP third level in 2011 to give Newcastle a venue, and an experience like they have never seen before.

We take booking of any size, from a couple looking for a great dining experience to the entire venue of 250 people. The cocktail lounge is able to cater for up to 60 people and 190 on the ground/restaurant level.

Opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 11.30am to 1am for dining and drinks, although if you are looking for a special function location we will on other days. Call 4962 2114 to discuss your options with our function coordinator.

Meet The Owners

Chad Taylor started in the hospitality industry at the age of 18 managing clubs on the Gold Coast until opening his own restaurant at the age of 21. He then became operations manager of Hunter Valley Restaurant Management Services for 8 years. Catering for venues such as City Hall, Civic Theatre and Harbour View function centre, just to name a few. Around this time he teamed up with Adam Baker to branch out into a port container hire business and then the Depot from there.

Adam Baker, a fitter and turner by trade before landing the role as an operations manager of a large shipping and container business in Sydney. Next he moved on to owning and operating the very successful Newcastle Port Container Services before teaming up with Chad in the Depot on Darby St.

Shane Brunt is also the Executive Chef, starting his career at Scratchleys Newcastle before moving to London to work in a restaurant owned by Anthony Worrall-Thompson. Then he moved to Peppers Anchorage Resort, Port Stephens as a Sous Chef under John Mark Pollet. Next he accepted a Head Chef position at Rive in Noosa before jetting off to become a private chef in Latin America and Las Angeles. Upon return to Australia Shane took a position with Hunter Valley Restaurant Services and then Venturing to the Depot from there.
